Everyone has a miata right?
This car was my entry into the community and wonderful world of backroads, race tracks, car mods, making new friends and generally having fun.
I actually don’t remember when or where I decided to look for a miata. Right out of college I had this insane idea to buy a Mustang…hear me out… swap in IRS, full coil-over suspension and a pile of other modifications. Basically take a crappy car and replace everything to hope it handled well. Instead I was sane and bought a beat up little green 2000 miata complete with a hideous front bra and cigarette ash in every nook and cranny.
Just got it home
It was less than a month into owning the car before I completely gutted the interior and did a complete deep clean. This included painting all the factory exposed steel (steering column and dash brace), washing the entire set of air ducts, ordering new carpet, harddog roll bar, frame rails and frog arms.

The car has had numerous adventures including track days, northern California backroads, short lived flights, camping and now off-roading. Always taking the abuse and ready for more (except when I ran out of oil and killed the bearings). This is by far the most fun car I’ve ever owned. It lives up to the hype.

The punishing road. It entices you for speed while hiding the threads. You want to go faster and faster until its far too fast and that rock murders something. This year it claimed its victims as it always does.
