Boosted Baja Miata’s first outing
Short trip out with some fellow Gambler’s to NorCal for a quick weekend. Always a good time with Flenn and co.
Little drinking, some questionable decisions, bit of rain and mud… Great weekend trip to Usal.
First things first, we go exploring in our vehicles to have fun with friends not to get credit online. We don’t care about your IG, FB, whatever is the latest thing.
To live life and sometimes break shit. Remember you only get this chance to explore, grow and fail; so go do something awesome with friends. But not these ones, they are terrible. Very terrible, you should to get better ones. ;-)
Chad and I went on the first? inaugural ‘Beer Run’ to Shelter Cove via Usal Road. Roughly 20 miles of winding narrow forest roads with lots of obstacles here and there. Miata made it without real issues, but a few spots it required some finesse or speed/power. The supercharger helped out a bit on the longer climbs. Roughly 6,000 ft of climbing over a 30 mile trek with max elevation of 2070 ft. GPX route below.
Beer Run Route (one direction as we gambled too much on fuel and took lava back to find dino juice)
Final message; you pack it in you pack it out!!!
I did my Miata sized part by carrying out all cans and bottles for recycling, Chad hauled out a truck bed full of trash collected by the group from around the campgrounds.
