Great 2023 Baja Adventure
Overall blog post of one of my favorite automotive adventures of all time and likely the most absurd ever. Each day of the 10 day trip was epic, overloaded with fun. Below are all the individual blog posts for quick reference. **There are still 4 more posts to get up** Take a look at the event page (Bamako) ->
You need some Baja in your life.
Chill day wandering La Paz and eventually finding our way to Los Cerritos. No dirt today, but not every day must be abuse and anti-lava.
On the road again, can’t wait to get back on the road again! Today was lots of highway, saving some time and likely damage. Adding to the scenic time periods at morning and evenings.
The punishing road. It entices you for speed while hiding the threads. You want to go faster and faster until its far too fast and that rock murders something. This year it claimed its victims as it always does.
Another day of some sand, some tacos, some driving and a few mechanical issues. Overall a great day anywhere.
First day of dirt on the new suspension. Looking forward to showing everyone what a Miata can do. Including getting stuck, lol.
Boost baby! Making more torques down low to pull through that nasty sand. Fast Forward Supercharger setup that is street legal in CA.
El Cerritos and Todos Santos, beaches and small town. Great times with great friends. A day to forget we have driven 1,500 miles in the last few days, cracked an oil pan and nearly ruined the car multiple times.
Vultures scoping out the Miata, hopeful for dinner. Not today bird!!
Making our final leg of the trip south, from town…to ocean…to Jurassic period. Very long day of good adventures.
Being responsible? Mostly checking that she’ll keep going for the next week. Making new friends and having a chill day in Baja
A day of beaches, broken oil pans, broken Jeeps and very very long drives. This was likely one of the longest days of our journey.
San Felipe for breakfast after a morning sand bath. Leaving our very temporary home at Diablo Canyon. Another fun day off road and meeting more dogs.
Finding police, tacos, dogs and sand. Our first day in the dirt and first time to enjoy new “long travel” suspension on the Miata.
Here we go as Team La Respuesta #82
Baja do your worst!!!!
