Miata Reunion 2023
Another year another Miata Reunion in the bag. Fun weekend with new and old friends.
Broken Miatas Day
Coffee, Cars, Gamblers, Broken Parts and Brews. Good day with old friends and meeting new ones while wandering around Sacramento.
Overland Bound Miata
This adventure starts from failure. Perseverance succeeds and we are able to meander our way to Redmond Oregon for Overland Expo.
BajaXL Day 6 - Los Cerritos
El Cerritos and Todos Santos, beaches and small town. Great times with great friends. A day to forget we have driven 1,500 miles in the last few days, cracked an oil pan and nearly ruined the car multiple times.
BajaXL Day 4 - Bahia De Concepcion to Las Cruces
Being responsible? Mostly checking that she’ll keep going for the next week. Making new friends and having a chill day in Baja
BajaXL Day 3 - Bahia De Los Angeles to Bahia De Concepcion
A day of beaches, broken oil pans, broken Jeeps and very very long drives. This was likely one of the longest days of our journey.
BajaXL Day 2 - Diablo Canyon to Bahia De Los Angeles
San Felipe for breakfast after a morning sand bath. Leaving our very temporary home at Diablo Canyon. Another fun day off road and meeting more dogs.
BajaXL Day 1 - Tecate to Diablo Canyon
Finding police, tacos, dogs and sand. Our first day in the dirt and first time to enjoy new “long travel” suspension on the Miata.
BajaXL Day 0 - Traveling to De Anza Springs and Pre-Event Activities
Here we go as Team La Respuesta #82
Baja do your worst!!!!
The Great Baja Adventure Begins
The last post before we leave for Mexico!
Testing out the Miata upgrades with lots of new friends.
Hover Mode Enabled
Where we are going we don’t need wheels! Well maybe not. Okay most likely I’ll need them at some point.
Light Switches!
A post about Lando! Not really, he is just ready for our next miata off-road trip. This covers some little updates for Miata lighting.
SoCal Gambler (BajaXL Pre-Run)
Proving that Miata is still the answer at SoCal Gambler. Baja proving grounds.
Miata Success!
I finally said goodbye to Sam’s Miata under its own power. A few more dumb issues, nothing we couldn’t overcome.
Finally (maybe not) Re-assembling Sam’s Miata
Final stages of getting the car back together. So I thought. Lack of attention to detail struck and caused some unexpected failure. We will get this done at some point!
Morgan Making Smoke
Will it run? That is the only question for today.
The answer is riddled with mystery…. Read more here!
Knock Knock. Rod’s Here.
Another Miata has died…. It can be rebuilt, better well enough. It is a buddies daily driver and needs to be reliable.
Little More Progress on V8 Miata
When simple upgrades go well and not so well. Remember its just a car and you can always make it work.
Is Gambling in a Miata really Gamblin’?
Documenting that we had fun off-roading my miata
Gamble the Green Miata?
