RS Blog 2 - First Ultima Drilling

I finally took a drill to the chassis. It was the point at which I needed to remove the center tub, meaning rivets from Britain had to be removed. While this evening’s task was very simple it was a step in the direction of process. Over the holiday weekend I plan to fit the first interior panels. Most of this post is documenting the state of body before removing rivets and nuts.

One piece that took some time to understand how it fit in between all the tubes and body was the rear divider (not sure what else to call it). After a beer or two I realized it rolls out and squeezes between everything on the drivers side (passengers side for UK peeps). Definitely need plenty of dexterity and masking tape to ensure no scuffs.

That’s all for today!
