Morgan Wiring Install?

It was finally time to head back out to Plymouth and start installing the wiring harness. Everything unnecessary cut out and removed, just a bit more fitment and finesse to get it perfectly in place.

Main task for the day was to double check everything was in a good spot for mounting or installing plugs to mate with the chassis electrical for lights. Everything else is now Miata and thus using OEM Mazda connections. Then finish up the loom, and start attaching with some rivet nuts and loop clamps.

Need to move this little guy

Turns out I forgot to relocate the wiper plug from the passenger side (Miata) to the drivers side (Morgan). Not to worry, it was quick and painless. Choosing to cut off the plug since it needs to be spliced anyways.

Applying the split loom to the harness to minimize the spiders web. After installation in the car and length checks I’ll use our normal loom on the engine bay wires. That is another day.

Various Pictures from the Day

Ended up spending most of the day methodically working through the wiring, testing and adjusting. Enjoyed the company of Lynn, Greg and a new Miata/Lotus friend John Grosseto. Overall a nice relaxing day with some good progress on the car.

While I’m aware Lynn and Greg will finish up a few holes for wiring, mount the ECU and fuse panels. Meanwhile I need to find that radiator fan connector, figure out the wiring color codes for the turn signal stalk and wiper motor. Until next time when we hopefully can start it!
